3 More Uses of the Konami Code - Retrogaming Easter Eggs #shorts

Показать описание
I'm back with another short video that showcases a few ways in which the Konami Code can be implemented.
For many Konami or Ultra games of the NES and SNES eras, the code could be used to gain extra lives, powerups, or hidden secrets. All you had to do was input Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, and A at the right place. In this short video, I've showcased three radical uses of the legendary Konami Code.
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan for the Nintendo Game Boy, pausing the game at any point and entering the Konami Code would instantly replenish your turtle's health. However, it appears this code can only be used once per game.
In Batman Returns for the SNES, entering the Konami Code with the 2nd controller on the Options menu would allow the player to start the game with 9 lives! In the example I showed, I was also playing the boss battle music on the Sound Test, but this is not necessary. I just wanted to do that.
In Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance for the Game Boy Advance, entering the Konami Code while the Konami Logo is displayed will allow you to play the Boss Rush mode as Simon Belmont (the protagonist of the original Castlevania as well as its sequel). The title screen turns blue to indicate when you've entered the code correctly. As an added bonus, playing the Boss Rush as Simon features special music and sound effects!
What are some other weird tricks in old games you know about? I want to make more of these quick shorts, so leave a comment to suggest more glitches, Easter Eggs, and weird things!
