Feel like the Grey knights should be pissed that the Eldars attempt to kill slannesh was interrupted by the imperium.

“But this is tech heresy~~”
“BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY”

I love how there is all of these super difficult methods and then a necron strolls in with a relatively common piece of tech that works far better than the truenames and banishments used so far

im just imagining Trazyn wearing a trench coat in some back ally slum and a giant silver man with a glowing spear walks up to him and he's like "you got the stuff?" and Trazyn's like "you got the payment?" and he drags out a demon that did something notable for the archive and Trazyn's like ya" then gives him like 100 Tesseract cube's and the demons just screaming "KILL ME! its better then being a museum peace!"

Oh, my god. The level of heresy involved in buying these things is staggering. I'm so glad I know this now.

Imperium: You’ve committed 12 counts of heresy and 10 counts of colluding with Xenos. How do you plead space marine?

Grey Knight: You see that Bloodthirster running at us, go ahead, kill it. I’ll wait. Oh, you want me to do it? Then stop crying how I do it.

If there’s one thing Necrons hate more than the mortal races it’s demons.

Love that you talk about how much easier/great life is/would be with a “divine purpose”.

I love thinking about what it must’ve been like to see some of the cathedrals in Europe when they were first built. Imagine, growing up on a farm, the biggest structure you’ve ever seen was maybe a farm/storage facility. That required you yo constantly do repairs.
For some reason, you go into a city, and you see a cathedral. You’ve heard of kings and castles, but this dwarfs that. The gigantic walls, the details, all the colors of stain glass.
You’d just not believe humans were actually capable of that, how could you not try to join their faith.

Or look at the ancient pyramids. These people had a chance to see/hear their gods ( Pharohs) so their motivation would be amplified. Sure, Slaves existed too. But that was during a time you didn’t know any better, but also freeman worked on it ( supposedly).

Today, we tend to think in terms of a single life time, but in the past - an accomplishment was given to the entire family.

Be it pyramids or cathedrals. Generations of families - perfecting & improving skills, trying to accomplish something for your God. And in your head you actually have proof of it.

I like to imagine the Grey Knights using a very crude and basic concept of bartering to get those tesseracts. Like they just spam down five daemon heads on a table and the Necron was like "cool, but like I was kinda hoping for, idk a weapon?"

Would the Grey Knights ever use a Culexus assassin or similar Blank¹ to *permanently* kill a Daemon?

The Blank can inflict permanent death - no ever coming back for that Chaos being. That's very
useful as that cell is now freed up and can be used to keep the next victim awaiting execution, it removes that threat permanently, the prison is just a tool to hold Daemons while their true death is organised.
And no matter how powerful the Daemon held within, they would be helpless while awaiting the killing blow from a (possibly squishy) Blank.

Also could the mental discipline and control of a Grey Knight prehaps allow such a powerful Psyker as one of them to withstand the presence of a Blank, for the sake of the mission and duty? Not that it's strictly necessary, they just leave and let the Blank and it's chaperone do the deed.

From the perspective of Chaos, it would be a terrifying combination.

¹There's also the Sisters of Silence, and the Ordo Malleus uses Blanks - _they_ would be more than willing to help the Grey Knights, no questions asked, mindwiped afterwards.

Day 10 of sieging to get an Iron Warriors episode. I lost an entire company to the Salamanders, however for every loss we suffer we make sure they pay it back in blood. Iron within, iron without.
