i was playing as the Byzantines during the 860 start (i believe thats the date). I made my own character and was doin work at reconquering anatolia, armenia, and syria. All of my sons died off from disease and war and my character was getting very old. I didn't realize that i had no heir, so i was focusing solely on producing a son. Well my character got to be 92 years old and he finally had a son. Right when the son was born, my incredible character died and this song started playing. The most epic moment of my CK2 career. After everything my character did, he was able to have a son at 92 and this song just made me realize how incredible his life was, and how strong the legacy was. I imagined my character screaming triumphantly at the top of his lungs on his death bed when he heard his lineage would carry on, and the people in attendance caught a glimpse of the once mighty warrior they heard stories of growing up, all the while this epic melody was playing in the background. I literally had tears in my eyes.

It's been 20 years since your Court Physician first diagnosed your Cancer. You've been struggling ever since, your two sons are dead and your only heir married a 49 year old Courtier. You're 49 yourself, you are Stressed and you know it will be over soon.

Weird paper noise. "For Whom the Bell Tolls". You smash your keyboard in anger. It cannot be... and yet, you are Quick. You are a Master Seducer. You will challenge Death to a game of chess. And this theme starts. Yes, you will win.

100% happened.

This needs to be in CKIII as an easter egg and event music for when you restore the Roman Empire.

Two people raised by wolves would create the greatest legacy ever.

This song carried me through a four year long Sunni Jihad. To the last man, we fought until finally the Caliph was forced to give in. The Empire held, and Christendom survived. Never realized how epic the Byzantines are to play.

The first part of this song always sends shivers down my spine.

Over the summer I went on a trip to Istanbul/Constantinople. Riding on the bus into the city through an eight lane highway and seeing the Walls of Theodosius, nearly intact after 1500 years, tower in the distance and finally dwarf the bus as we passed between the fortifications made me realize that the Legacy of Rome is still alive.

Pure epic. The whole vibes from Eastern Rome Empire's history put in one soundtrack. Glory to Roman Empire which is still in our hearts.

As a an Italian living in Rome, when I go for a walk in the centre of Rome I always play this in background! I can almost feel the power and greatness of Rome through my veins and blood.

I love when this song comes up as I'm playing as the Byzantine Empire! I started a campaign to restore the Byzantine Empire after their historical downfall after the fourth crusade and right about now, I've already destroyed and vassalized 5 kingdoms and I'm about to take the rest of Greece, man I love this game :D

One of the greatest moments of this game: I just finished buying/installing Legacy of Rome. I open up CK2, and start my first game as the Byzantine Empire. This song begins to play... You can bet some Turks got the taste for Roman steel!

Don't you love when you play Byzantium, finally reconquer your rightful lands and then... as the entirety of the world watches your next step, wary of what might happen, you declare the Restoration of Rome and the intent to reconquer all Imperial land. As all this happens, the world pauses, and this song starts playing. Armies mobilize, but the Legions of Rome are ready and waiting. "We were once defeated, but now we shall continue what Justinian Started"
