I loved both The Munsters and The Addams Family since their debut on TV, but The Munsters was my favorite! I also loved the movie Munster, Go Home.
Great video, thanks for posting.

If only that statement made by Fred Gwyn (aka Herman Muster) about "...the only thing that matters is the size of your heart and the strength of your character", was taken more seriously by the myriad of fans who watched the show in the early to mid '60's perhaps we could have avoided some of the social unrest during those years. I'm not sure who said it first who spoke the words first, MLK or "Herman Munster" but either way it's a truism that will always endure the test of time regardless who utters it!

In the immortal words of Fred Allen (who had his own hit Network Radio show before there was TV, and when TV DID exist, Allen was a regular on the panel of the quiz show, “What’s My Line”) “Imitation is the sincerest form of Television”.

One interesting fact that you didn't mention is that Al Lewis who played Lillys father in the show was in reality a year younger than Yvonne De Carlo who played Lily

Clickbait but still worth the watch. Very interesting trivia for one of my childhood favorites!

There was a big change when Pat Priest took over the Marylin role. The heavy cobwebbing and darkness of the house was cleaned up, and the set was brightened up.

I always thought that having a beautiful, normal girl in a family full of Monsters acting as she was the weird one, was a superb idea.
And both actresses were great.

Also, every time I was looking at little Eddie I was laughing silly. 😂
He was such a great child Vampire.

Wow!!
Beverly Owen had real loyalty to her fiancée.
You won't find that kind of devotion today.

I grew up with The Addams family and The Munsters in so many other great shows, but I'll be damned if my stepson didn't ask an off-the-wall question LOL he said how can Frankenstein and his wife who's a vampire have a son that's a werewolf 😂 I told him gee thinks wasn't trying to think about that

You can't say that the Addam's Family and Munster's being released the same year was a coincedence when just a couple minutes later you also say that the guy who pitched the Munster's got his idea straight from the Addam's Family. That is NOT coincedental, that is causality. BTW it is not pronounced NICH it is pronounced NICHE as in KNEESH. As a narrator it is important.
