Flipping the gun sight up and down all my Gen X brain can think. "Luke, you've switched off your targeting computer, what's wrong"

BF 109 had the first operational flight in 1937....Amazing the progress in 34 years from 17 December 1903 when the Wright Brothers had their first successful flight.

Dad was a ball turret gunner. At a small airshow, in 1989, he was allowed to sit in a P51d, Gunfighter, and later he remarked on how tight the cockpit . He was 5'6".

Thank you for such a unique opportunity to see interior of cockpit & controls from fpv perspective thst otherwise less likely to see by myself + adding your info on main controls as guide, just love it👍 considering tine of build if this aircraft, interior & colors look like was made in 60s not 40s

That tight cockpit means you’re not going to bounce around during a belly landing

I'm amazed by how advanced the 109 is back then! Gotta love the sleek throttle sticks

I love the gunsight..."Use The Force, Chris, use The Force"...or, rather, "Nutze die Macht, Chris, nutze die Macht"

Please leave the descriptions up longer!!

Imagining how many Luftwaffe airman fought with those controls as they battled Allied aircraft, or as they lost the fight and were desperately trying to survive as they spun out of control, or perhaps already expired and just along for the rest of the short ride into the ground

I'm astonished about how well this was all made. Especially thinking this was made so long ago.

Never saw all the flight controls of a Bf-109. Looks like a good ship. Watch those narrow landing gear on landing. 😲

A wonderfully restored Me 109G possibly the Me 109G-6 but with the late Revi 16B, the same as used by the Me 262A but with elongated mounting it is possibly the Me 109G-10 and the later variant! In the hands of experten pilots it was a dangerous opponent until the bitter end!

My favorite fighter ever made! Work of art!

Now do a 190, where Kurt Tank really cared for the pilot.
