Показать описание
Olivia Newton-John's second US network television special, "Olivia", aired on ABC on May 17, 1978. Also included here is BONUS FOOTAGE of the extended concert segment.
Guests are ABBA, Andy Gibb, James Cleveland and the Southern Californian Choir, and Gary Frank. Produced and directed by Steve Binder.
The show was filmed and edited within an extremely tight deadline. From "TV Guide":
Andy Gibb and the pop group ABBA join Olivia Newton-John in this freewheeling musical hour. Still in production at press time the show is slated to feature the ensemble recalling childhood memories in the song “Remember the Days of the Old Schoolyard?”. Then, in an elaborately staged segment called “The Game”, Newton-John goes on a “growing up” odyssey: she attends high school; achieves financial success; finds romance; raises children; breaks up; and finds hope “In My Heart”, sung by the James Cleveland Choir.
Songs in a concert segment are expected to include “Who Are You Now?”, “Have You Never Been Mellow?”, “Hopelessly Devoted to You” (Olivia); “I Just Want To Be Your Everything”, “Thicker Than Water”, “Shadow Dancing” (Andy); and “Dancing Queen”, “Fernando”, “Take A Chance” (ABBA).
