Im pretty sure the others weren't inherently hostile either. They probably weren't as friendly, especially Roxanne and Chica, as Chicas eating can affect her hardware, and Roxanne is Roxanne. Freddy blatantly says they'd never hurt a guest, before he says they can't. So they were all probably quirky, but at their core good 'people' if you will, and without the glitch they physically couldn't hurt a guest. Since Freddy was booted in safe mode, he was immune to the glitch, and the others weren't. We can even see a glimpse of what theyre really like during the performance, showing concern for Freddy when he is hurt. Freddy says they are his friends, and I believe him.

I believe the only reason freddy didn't get hijacked by vanny was because he deactivated from a loop hole in the system that had him do a system restart. Which either enabled a fire wall in his AI. Or turned on safe mode. And maybe even messed up the virus to some extent as for some reason vanny wasn't able to hack the map bots. Map bots are legit powerful due to being able to tear a elevator door open right before it closed or being able to be run over by a van in an ending.

Theory: all animatronics are given a code that gives them their own personality. If you notice roxy, she talks to herself almost as if she had a personality. She tried lifting herself up mentally. Also you can notice the how Freddy is shocked and stammering in the presence the of Vanny. Any normal animatronic would just freeze or eat the security guard with no emotion. Vanny is technically a separate entity from Vannesa, but she is more like a split personality of her. You can interpret the bad vanny ending where vanny is thrown from the building as Vannesa's soul being trapped in the pizza Plex, such as the remnants of the murdered children in previous games inhabiting the animatronics. Essentially, she's looking down on her body, and worrying as she never escaped Glitchtrap grasp.

The sun is also quite friendly in the game. They only stop being friendly after you break the rules and cause chaos in their daycare. Even then, they only kick you out and call security on you. They seemingly don't want to become the moon, their hostile counterpart. If the moon even is the same animatronic.

I kind of feel sorry for the other animatronics as they're not actually evil. Maybe we might have a DLC where we could reprogram them in order to save them.

I kind of disagree regarding Freddy being the ONLY friendly animatronic other than the map bot. Sun also happens to be friendly if a little eccentric, and doesn’t try to hurt you. When the lights go off that’s Moon, not Sun, and then upon retiring he only gets mad that you broke the one rule and enacts the security protocol of kicking you out, but probably has no idea that the others are trying to kill you.

Freddy didn't recognize Gregory from the guest list so it is possible that the animatronics could harm Gregory since Freddy only said that the animatronics can't hurt a guest, this might be the loophole that Vanny used to make the animatronics hurt Gregory, she could've also removed Gregory from the guest list and making him vulnerable to attacks from the animatronics.

Can I just say Kellen Groff absolutely nails Glamrock Freddy? That man managed to turn a tortured, soulless icon of evil into a tragic, well-meaning, adorable companion. Freddy’s voice has always been great but this was another level.

I think the ending where Freddy tackles Vanny off the roof just shows that they stopped Vanny (a possessed Vanessa by glitchtrap) but didn't free Vanessa, the innocent host. That's why she was looking down at her body from the roof, she's not free. Glitchtrap just used her body and left her for dead. But that still innocent spirit of Vanessa is now stuck at the pizza plex. But I think they're one in the same still.

Notice how Freddy above all the other animatronics has pictures of childrens drawings kids gave him in his room? From actions like that, to him talking emotionally about Bonnie, to how he's horrified at what became of his friends, and the emotion he felt that he'd never see Gregory again.. Glam-Freddy is the most human character in the series, and I just love him!

Nothing in this game is confusing, and here’s why:
At the beginning of the game when Freddy malfunctions, it isn’t because he’s being hacked by Vanny or Vanessa, it’s because William Afton is attempting to take control of Freddy via the pizzaplex’s main network, and this is why Freddy detects an unknown threat. Then later after the incident when Freddy wakes and is talking to Gregory, we can hear Freddy say that he failed to connect to the main network, which is why he is not hostile, because the only way for William to control the animatronics would be through the main network, which Freddy isn’t connected to unlike the other animatronics that were connected and William took over them. This is almost certainly confirmed because Freddy himself directly tells Gregory that they are incapable of hurting guests. So therefore, for them to be attempting to hurt Gregory, is just proving that something or someone is controlling them. It’s also proven in the secret Afton ending, when we confirm that Afton had been rebuilt into an endoskeleton, presumably by Vanny or Vanessa. During this ending, Afton several times attempts to take control of Freddy, as he is the only one he hasn’t taken control of. And this is even more confirmed when the now-broken Monty comes in but Afton makes no attempt of controlling Monty, and targets Freddy.
That’s why Freddy is the only friendly animatronic.

You might be asking, “Well then, why didn’t William take over the security bots too? Why is Vanny controlling the security bots and not William?” Well, there are two possible answers:
1. Before he had access to the pizzaplex’s main network, he used Vanny to control the bots and simply just kept using Vanny to control them, but this seems a bit far-fetched.
2. The security bots are not connected to the main network and have their own network instead, one that Afton either didn’t know about or didn’t have access to. This explains the remote that Vanny used in one of the endings to control the bots.

But, of course none of this explains the growing question, “Why did Vanessa look down at herself… or her imposter? And is Vanny really Vanessa?”
Well… yes, Vanny is most likely Vanessa, and in a secret voice line in game, Gregory says something like, “Vanny seems like Vanessa and Bunny combined.” and to take it a step further, in one of the secret voice recordings it reveals that Vanessa bought her own Bunny costume, so, what does this tell us? It tells us Vanny is Vanessa. But why and how? Well, Vanessa originally worked at another restaurant within the Fazbear Entertainment line, but at that location she became partially possessed by William Afton while playing Princess Quest games, resulting in her Vanny personality, and in another secret voice recording found in game it is revealed she took therapy and that the part of her that is possessed is growing with every day. So, when she was moved to the pizzaplex, Afton realized he could use her to do his dirty work, and that’s who Vanny is, the possessed part of Vanessa. However, in the game if you beat the Princess Quest games, you can actually free Vanessa from Afton and this results in a good ending. But still, this doesn’t explain why Vanessa looked down at… Vanessa? Well, it’s simple. The Vanessa seen on the roof looking down at the unmasked Vanny is actually most likely Vanessas ghost or spirit, looking down at her dead body. This is most likely true as within the FnaF franchise, we know that when someone dies at those locations their spirit or ghost is stuck there for a little while, hence her sad look as she realizes what’s happening.

So yeah, leave it to Afton to mess everything up.

Also the ending where the pizzaplex burns down makes literally no sense, you mean to tell me a huge complex worth probably billions of dollars (not including the bots and animatronics) doesn’t have a decent fire sprinkler system?!?! Also for a huge complex like this to burn would probably take a while, so where flip are the fire department? Sorry for being logical.

A theory I heard and like to believe is that Michael Afton’s soul transferred to Freddy after he died in the fire. After having remnant in him from sister location, he would have been able to do so. The reason why he protects and helps Gregory is because he bears a striking resemblance to Michael’s little brother (the crying child), whom he basically killed at his party. Freddy even said he doesn’t know why he’s being nice to Gregory. He just wants to be a good big brother, calling him superstar, lifting him up, and being protective now that his life is at stake (“again” in Mike’s mind). Perhaps the reason Freddy said he had been down underneath the plex was because he himself died down there.

Freddy only attacks you when he has run out of power or is in parts and service. As being out of power or in service mode, his AI disconnected which also DC's his safe mode, allowing vanny to control him and when low on power, and in service mode, his safety protocols are deactivated and this allows him to become hostile if the worker messes up, as now he is capable of harming guests and staff
