Vito had all the cops, judges, and politicians on his payroll. Also the boss doesn’t have all the money. The guys under him are all earning and kicking up. My guess would be he might have been worth fifty-ish million when he died. No way did he ever have even 100 million. Capone died broke, by the way. He supposedly forgot where he put ten million or so because the syphilis wrecked his brain so badly. Tony Accardo sent Capone’s wife money every month to pay her bills because Al left her with nothing.
