This guy, Eckert, is bloody amazing. I wish I would be tought pool by him. Looks like such a nice guy and very careful with your state of mind and willingness to learn. Amazing professor, he is someone any teacher in the world can learn from.

Dude I watched your videos with Dr Dave and Emily Duddy and I SWEAR after that my game has gotten better! I used to run 4-5 balls off the break and this past week I have been getting down to the 8 ball off the break about 75% of the time. SIMPLY AMAZING! Will continue to support!

Rollie, these videos are simply GREAT. I've been a good Runout Player, for 60 years. After watching Pool & Billiards grow on You Tube, for the last 20 years, I think Pool has changed. The path to the Winner's Circle, has to pass through the Break Shot Practice Room or you'll always be an also ran... No Break Shot, no Winner... The BreakRAK is where it's at...

Hello from High Springs, Florida. thank you for all your videos. I'm 67 retired new APA 5 and have learned so much from all your guest experts. This Centerfield drill is a very good training drill and I do it a lot. I know the covid thing has stopped the momentum you had going but please find a way to bring new episodes. Love ya man. Keep the spirit alive!

Ralph was the mastermind behind the PAT tests years ago and he converted those into his on training app called Check Billiard. It’s a great self training app that many Euro players use while developing for the Euro Tour.
His endless drills (there a few of them) are a pure form of training and a very young Thorsten Hohman is on the PAT videos from the early 2000’s demonstrating them.
Thanks, Rollie for taking the trip and highlighting such an excellent instructor.

Thanks so much for these Rollie, production team and Guests.

As new player (started in May), these videos have been crucial in developing not only the fundamental skills, but also the lens of digesting other content - what to notice and what questions to ask. Thanks again.

Ralph is such a professor of the game, you get educated every time he opens his mouth .
It's obvious he still lives and respects everything about the game what a true pro always trying to play the game the right way
when you are lucky enough to win a rack of pool against Ralph you just know he let you win it : )
Such a nice down to earth guy still with a fortune of knowledge the way he speaks is really interesting and his drills are strict but very fair and gives a real high chance to improve your game dramatic in a short space of time .
This is by far the best video yet Rollie really good ..liked & subbed thank you !!

Ralph Eckert is one of those consummate PRO pool players! He is always willing to help "average" players improve their game. I seen him do his exhibition at the SBE about 6 years ago. I bothered him for just 1 good tip to improve my game and he was happy to explain to me even when NOT doing exhibition. A total Gentleman and elite pool player. What he told me then, he shared with Rollie here at 15:10

Ralph has his FB page, where he posts some very interesting pool stuff.

Most recently, he posted an extraordinary object ball JUMP carom.

He jumped the cue ball into the eight ball, lifting it off the table, into another ball, caroming it off that ball, over two others and pocketing it beautifully.

Best part, he must have corresponded with me repeatedly over the next couple days while I worked it out myself, and comparing my efforts to the original...

He was gracious and asked for nothing. Just happy to share the game. He is one of my favorites to watch and watch coach.

Thanks, JB

That's a very good way of teaching. Many coaches just tell you what's wrong and work on that.
However Ralph gives you options and challenges to try different things, gather experience and see what works best for you.
Beginners often think that's not as efficient...they often just want to hear what's wrong and how to do it right.
Ralph's way of teaching might not fix a problem as quick but it helps the student with developing his skills on his own. Most of the time you don't have a coach telling you what to do. Ralph's method kind of helps you become your own coach so that you can work things out even when he's not there (to a certain extent). In the long run that's much better than just having the answers handed to you on a silver plate.
