I really like mac studio, i think, yes, is expensive but if you work in professional editing multimedia, its the BEST solution.

i just bought the Mac Studio 3 weeks ago and that unit is a beast, im really happy now with the FCX super fast export video, just keep in mind that for video editing and exporting need to use a super fast external hard drive, for editing im using the Lacie Thunderbolt 6 TB and for exporting im using a NVMe Gen 4 card

Damn testing all of that at once??? If it did not perform as it did you would have killed it. I can’t tell if this was faith in the product or hopefullness…. Either way best, simple and clean stress test. I love it!

Hi Morgonaut. How about testing the Mac Studio M1 MAX Thunderbolt 4 ports with EXTERNAL SSDs to see if the controllers slows down the external SSD like on the M1 Mac Mini? On M1 Mac Mini, I think the 1050 MB/s read 1000 MB/s write external SSDs like Sandisk Extreme V2 and also Samsung T7 ran much slower, apparently due to Apple's Thunderbolt controller not playing well with these SSDs (?)

the ultra has better heatsink also, not aluminium but copper i believe

The Apple overheating issues were caused by the Intel chips. All of the M1 Macs run a LOT cooler than anything Intel had.
