I don't by any mixed seed at all I always buy seperate.Also buy shelled rather than unshelled so no waste and buying in bulk works out a lot cheaper in the long run.

Millet, milo canary seed, oats etc.. are meant for ground feeding birds like house sparrows doves and quail

I put up a bird feeder about 1 hr ago, none come, we have a lot of blue jays and chickadees but nothing came, at my grandmas house she gets all these blackbirds, nuthatches, woodpeckers and stuff😢

Here is a great example of why our brick and mortars are huge, huge trouble (and why Ace Hardware will eventually follow Radio Shack, Sears, etc). You see, I heard this awesome commercial and LOVED it. Got to my office and just couldn’t wait to get on Amazon to order all kinds of bird feeders and bird food. ACE HARDWARE FOOTED THE BILL FOR MY AMAZON PURCHASE!!! Is this my fault? Should I have forced myself to find time in my busy schedule to go to an Ace Hardware and take a chance that they might not even have what I wanted? Nope.
Not really. Amazon screwed all of the Ace Hardware’s (and America in the process). I loved Ace Hardware but I love saving time and money even more :(
