Fire Protection is better in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Minecraft Java Edition and Minecraft Bedrock Edition are basically the same game. Although, there are a few differences between the two editions. As a Java player, there are multiple Bedrock Edition features that I wish were in the Java Edition of Minecraft. Like being able to move chests, or lighting TNT with a sword, here are 10 Bedrock features I wish were in Java.

Fun fact: on bedrock, being set on fire covers up like 70% of your screen, so this could be a live saver for many

A simple Fire Resistance Potion achieves the same effect, plus you can have Prot 4 on all your other gear to take less damage overall from all other sources

Well, it’s most useful thing that you will take no fire damage(even on 1 armour)

They fixed it so it is stackable till the fire effect doesnt happen at all when you are lit on fire

I know a lot of people rather play vanilla but I kinda can’t live without the mod that lets you put protection AND fire protection and as an example blast protection on the same piece of armor.

Regular protection is better than all other protection types

Only 10 levels of fire protection actually have an effect before they reach a cap of 80% reduction, but if you add protection 4 on your last piece of armor you can get an additional boost of 16% damage reduction to all sources, I’m not sure if this is added or averaged and what way it is averaged, but it could potentially provide 96% damage reduction.

If you have a full netherite fire protection set, it gives you permanent fire resistance

They were experimenting with this on java as well for the enchant rework

And I just saw someone not that long ago who ranked enchantments and put fire protection 3rd to last 💀

I've had a glitch on bedrock where I fell in a 1x1 square of lava with non incanted armor and wasn't set on fire, so I just hopped out quick and didn't take any more damage.
