Did You Know This About King’s Cross In HARRY POTTER…

It was featured so heavily in the series because it has a very personal significance to J.K. Rowling! In fact, her parents met on a train to Scotland which departed from King’s Cross station. Because of this, as well as the fact that it has an evocative and symbolic name, and since it's the right place to depart from if you were going to Caledonia, she chose it as the location of Harry's gateway to Hogwarts, or as the means of transport that took him there.
