Because I was afraid that my rescue chicks would die (death rate 50% with chicks) I’ve spent at least 6 hours a day with them to make sure they’d survive. They now see me as a parent or part of their Hurd. And they wait for this moment every day. It has become a part of my daily routine to take the blanket and sit with them. In rain, winter, snow & hail.."
