7 minute vocal vocal warm up for pop singers. With a chesty mixed voice default. Including twang and bright vowel exercises. Suitable for teens and adults. Men sing down the octave (see note below). This group of exercises focuses on getting a chesty balanced mix.

Mixed or mix voice is recognisable by its brighter, edgy or brassy quality. The shape of the vocal tract and mouth maybe slightly wider rather than long as tall as in a classical head voice timbre. Be careful not to widen the mouth too much otherwise the timbre or tone maybe too harsh. I made this mistake myself when crossing over from classical to contemporary singing.

Hi,
I really enjoyed this vocal warmup. It helped me a lot, as I have an audition later today, and I am a huge fan of your vocal warmups as they are helpful with all of the notes below. I follow your spotify and its great to use them if you are out somewhere and you don't have access to much, but you have a playlist with all of your amazing vocal warmups on the playlist, it can make a really good change to your voice, so it prevents cracking, which I find quite reassuring as I am NOT a fan of voice cracks, especially in front of a huge audience.
Anyways, thanks again for all of your helpful warmups. They make singing way easier.

I’ve been using this warmup before I practice and before I do gigs ever since I found it last year, and I like it a lot! I studied jazz & classical vocal performance in college and a lot of the warmups we did focused on the head voice, which was great for the type of music I was singing at the time, but now that I’m out of college I sing a lot more pop/folk stuff and so this type of exercise was definitely needed, and I find it very helpful. One question- is there a trick to doing the breathing exercises without getting dizzy? 😅 The first couple times I did it were okay, but I usually skip this part now because I kept getting dizzy- maybe I’m not breathing deep enough?
