"when drunk you get a 50% bonus to speech and charisma" This truly is the most realistic rpg i have played.

If you like being a speech based character take Troubadour it basically lets you use all the bath house functions for free and you get a 50% boost when talking to women. But the power lies in the bath house just go there whenever you get hungry, tired, hurt or dirty and you get a free top up of all those stats plus the alpha male perk which further boosts your charisma.

i love archery so much in this game. its realistically OP. its kinda ironic the cumans ran from mongols and ended up in hungarian army sacking bohemian towns. i just ride around them in circles and shoot them down with better piercing arrows.... like the mongols would. poor cumans. i like those ears though

Easy way to level pickpocketing- Go to the room full of injured people at the Monastery at night. You can pickpocket all of the injured people to gain a ton of quick exp, nothing happens if they catch you because they're incapacitated, so keep going until there's nothing left to loot.

Infamous is absolutely better than local hero, simply because reputation rises faster and that's beneficial to both chivalrous as well as dishonorable characters alike. There is no downside.
Especially considering your reputation will fall much faster if you pick hero, and what good is that for? You'd always want high reputation, regardless of your play style.

Tisk Tisk.. discounting Troubadour... thats one of my favorite ones as it using the "services" gives you full health, full food, full energy, clean clothes, and a charisma buff.

You can train with captain Bernard and your stolen weapons in your inventory will not be stolen anymore once your done. Simply surrender right away and your welcome. Doesn't work for armour.

I picked savage because there's more danger in the wilderness than in civilized areas.

I believe Savage is a better option than Burgher for a main stat perk. The 4 categories affected are Strength, Agility, Vitality, and Speech. While you typically benefit from all 4 stats in the wild, you generally only use Speech in towns, so with Burgher you're trading 4 for 1 and there are a lot of other ways to get Speech bonuses.

I found a decent trick for practicing pickpocket if it helps you out. When you run into random encounters where guards have caught and tied up bandits or cumans, you can pickpocket these guys to your hearts content and the guards do not care at all. Its very easy to do.

I highly suggest Forester from the hunting tree, you spend a lot of time in the woods raiding camps and such and this reduces your visibility and conspic stats by 50% while in the woods.

Wild at heart breaks hunting altogether it becomes super easy, boars and deer will stay still allowing you to get an easy kill, bunnies will actually get so close to you you can stab them with your sword.

The main perk I don't suggest in the hunting tree is Huntsman which increases the damage done to animals by 20%, it is a wasted perk as with a decent bow you will still one shot a boar or deer.

I would recommend avid reader for the reading tree as well since you can just quickly start a book (any more than 0% necessary) and when you sleep or wait around, you automatically read any books that you have started, meaning you don't need to specifically spend hours just sitting and reading.

I have found the balanced diet perk very easy to keep up tbh, its up all the time with what feels like almost no effort. There are so many bean soup pots around or bathhouses or random places for food that its really hard to starve unless you are staying in the forest for many days but even then you can just have dried foods on your horse.

I took Ascetic and Insomniac from 'main level'. They basically completely remove the need for maintaining your energy and nourishment. Once they release the patch for resetting perk points I think I will remove them because they're almost broken, but if you don't enjoy having to stay on top of sleeping and eating then they're worth getting.

Ascetic combines very well with 'Balanced Diet' from vitality since you'll almost always have the bonus 1 agil and vital.

Headcracker is insanely OP with archery. I managed to knock out a fully plate armoured bandit with a single hunting arrow to the face, take all his armor and weapons, and then beat him senseless when he woke up.

what about contemplative? you don't lose energy or food when waiting, you can use the wait function as much as you want witouth any downside, pretty usefull imo

Never do main level perks that increase/decrease stats. You do this so when you reach level 20(max level) you won't have something like 17 strength(-3) 20 agility 20 vitality 20 speech(+2). Once you reach max level even if you have a plus 2 on speech you don't get 22 speech but you do get a -2 on strength. You want to have all 20s when you max so avoid these all together.

Just a correction: Tanner doesn't mean you'll be able to skin EVERY animal you kill, that's not how it works. What it does is that there's a chance that every animal you kill will drop a skin.
It's not 100%, from my experience I'd put it at around 66%.
