This video is part of the Google UX Design Certificate, where you'll learn how to design mobile apps and responsive websites. You'll follow the design process from beginning to end: empathizing with users, defining their pain points, coming up with ideas for design solutions, creating wireframes and prototypes, and testing your designs with users to get feedback. Google has provided FREE UX content and some people in this comment section have done nothing but insult the instructor. A lot of you will never make in this field as you lack one of the key skill: EMPATHY!

One thing I am grateful for these videos: it helped me decide I don't want to do UX design right now. The video is so helpful breaking down the common work responsibilities and environment that it helped me realize that my strengths lay elsewhere. I was bent between this and the Data Analysis Certificate and couldn't tell where I'd be better off spending my time. Now that it's clarified I can tell I'd be too uncomfortable and feel more pressured between the many groups and goals involved in the UX Design career. I would lose my mind trying to balance everything, and instead will be better focused and constructive with the time needed to data and a smaller group for most projects.
I really do appreciate the hard work and clarification of these videos, and I wish everyone luck in their self-taught journeys.

This is a very good overview of user experience as a careere. The UX program at my local design school costs $7, 000 so that's why I'm checking out this program. Google is making this program accessible for everyone. Both programs are teaching the same information and both give certificates.

I'm really glad Google is branching out into other categories with their certificate programs. There is a strong need for targeted, middling educational programs like these and Google is well-suited to provide them.

If I had one criticism about the production of these videos, it would be to not sacrifice clarity for interest. I completed the IT Automation with Python certificate about half a year ago. It was a great program; it had a diverse range of teachers, and they tried to keep it fun, but each one delivered their material is the same mind-numbing, even-paced, manner, verbatim to the script. It makes it pretty difficult to stay engaged in what the speaker is talking about. I still enjoyed the IT certification and I look forward to exploring the new ones, and overall I enjoyed this video as well....just trying to give some constructive criticism.

@Google if you REALLY want to make these certificates a game changer, get them all ACE certified so we can transfer the credits into a college degree later. Ensuring that these courses can become stepping stones to further a degree would literally change thousands of lives.
