Wedge Antilles might be a minor character in the movies but in the Expanded Universe he is a pivotal character and X-wing pilot; he is a hero in the Yuzaan Vong War and other books. It’s a shame Disney did not use the EU material.

Wedge Antilles, along with Keyan Farlander, were survivors alongside Luke Skywalker at the Battle of Yavin. Antilles would later become a General in the New Republic, and Farlander a Jedi Knight taught by Skywalker at his Praxeum on Yavin 4.

Denis Lawson / Wedge is Ewan's nephew?? Badass!! Wedge is Rogue 2 and eventually becomes Rogue Leader when Luke leaves Rogue Squadron to become a Jedi. The books and comics have him as the main character. So glad he came back for Episode 9.. even though the sequels do not exist.

Both actors brought so much more for StarWars & Ewan being Kenobi truly did such an extraordinary job & is my favorite actor & not just in Star Wars; he was awesome in "The Island" with Steve Buschemi & it was just alot of fun over the years seeing Ewan make Obi-Wan Kenobi come to life

Well he may have had a “minor” role in this episode but he’s the only pilot to have been part of the successful attack on both Death Stars.

I’m just very disappointed he didn’t have a larger role in the sequel trilogy.
