It's funny how working in a set entirely covered in green screen and using a prop to duplicate the animal that the actor rides on can be challenging. Actors find it difficult to envision the scene. I'm sure they had a lot of fun back in those days.

People complain about the acting in the prequels being wooden but how could they not be slightly off when your reacting to literally nothing 😂

There's a good reason for this particular bit of silliness - George had shot the rest of the Lars homestead scene on location 3 years before in Tunisia, during principal photography for AotC. Ewan had no other scenes on 'Tatooine' in either movie, so it made good practical sense to sit him on a green box instead of flying him around the world for a 30 second sequence and a hair-and-makeup continuity nightmare...

And this is why practical effects are superior, not only does it look better and creates a more tangible movie, but it allows the actors to see what they're reacting to, so that way, they could give the proper reactions...



I've noticed that in a lot of movies that have CGI, the actors don't know what they're looking at, so when they get scared or when they are nervous or whatever it is, they don't know how to convey those emotions properly or accurately...

It’s crazy how far he fell in the show. There was one trailer where he was desperately trying to get a gate open, and I didn’t understand why. If he went like 6 feet to the left he could have gone around it. He could have easily climbed over it (no force powers required), he could have used his lightsaber to cut it down.

I’m kind of astounded the empire didn’t hunt down the Jedi before the start of the original trilogy, based on what I saw in the trailer it wouldn’t have been hard.
