Sound does not travel as fast as light. There is also no transmission of sound in the vacuum of space. "F" for the science in this science fiction.

To add realism... You need to delay the sound. You would see the event long before you hear anything. That is if you would even hear it. No atmosphere between the earth and moon so I dont believe we would hear anything at all. Just my 2c.
