The Invitation Movie Review - These Vampires Suck!

Sony invites you to the wedding of the century in 2022s The Invitation. Not really. This movie sucks and not in the way cool vampires do. I would rather watch Morbius again! It's a PG-13 snorefest, blending the worst parts from 50 Shades of Gray with the worst parts in Twilight. The film takes an eternity to go anywhere and when it finally reaches the destination, you quickly realize it wasn't worth the trip. The Destination is a toothless vampire film that barely features any vampires. This is an easy skip and will likely be forgot by everyone in a week from now.

Wish I’d seen this review before going. 😩
Lead actress wasn’t doing it for me, mainly because her character was a box of nothing. This did indeed feel like the worst parts of two franchises I already care nothing about.
1 Pro: Hot Vampire Babe / Dutch Actress Model - Stephanie Corneliussen. I may or may not have image searched her immediately after finding her name in the credits.

Oh no! I enjoyed the movie for what it was. Then again I went in not expecting to be blown away. I just wanted to be out of the house and just relax at a theater.

Just finished watching. Movie was soooo stupid. They just had to add casual racism inside: "WhiTe PeOPle bAAd". And that kind of attitude is why the movie sucks. Why would that old vampire be so weak and so naive is beyond me. He has been alive for thousands of years yet a random 100lbs girl (superpower or not) would take him down just like that. The ending where she is walking off all smug is just vomit inducing. The only real believable strong female character was one of the brides who looks like Angelina Jolie, yet her death is, again, so unrealistically stupid. Last scene, the unnecessary "the whitest man ever" comment comes again. Somehow, they were aiming at the woke crowd to chew this one up just like many garbage movies produced lately. The Dracula is powerful, absolutely ruthless and grand in his legends not some wimpy whiney boy. This is somehow worse then Twilight at depicting vampires. Trash.

another crime by the way is the fact there is a film already names The Invitation. Though, I understand there are many folms that have similar names. Another thing is as far as the trailer shows and probably the movie, I haven't seen it, the plot looks 1:1 like Ready or Not. way to go Sony

This is a bummer because I was actually kinda looking forward to this one. (I only saw one short teaser) The premise has some potential for a good old school Gothic horror flick if done right, but the pg13 rating and bad pacing really mute the tone.
I really don't get it, it really shouldn't be hard to make a cool vampire movie and yet Hollywood just repeatedly fucks it up.
