I got hold of a Gear Drum 3CS trigger recently, here's my first impressions! This isn't a full review, just my initial thoughts on things like build quality, the design and the installation process. Be sure to check out the review when it drops!

Looks interesting, can't wait to see the full review... I'm just gathering parts for my A2E and I was gonna go the ATV/3 piezo route using R Drums cones/piezos. Even Roland is doing it now!😂 I was also thinking about putting 2 or 3 into my toms to avoid hot spots...never see it being done, don't know if it's a good idea. lol but doesn't make sense to leave the toms with a center mounted like you see people do after making an 'ATV' snare setup...
*For the 3 cone design, what's the general placement of the cones, how far do they have to be from the shell wall?*

I think it’s first class. I’ve been thinking about these also. They sent me photos of their metal spoke pattern triggers. They look as expensive R drum triggers. But they are not . I’m thinking about my bass drum conversion with spokes for each lug hole. The whole kit was very reasonably priced . I was very impressed with quality. And it got a lot of 5 star reviews in Italian. That’s good enough for me I think I need to order the bd trigger and the mesh from DrumTec. Now, if I can remember how to write to them any help?

I have the atv shell set and the td50 and the mimic - phenomenal sound the atv snare is top notch

Hello My Friend, hello my friend, here I am again, I am looking at possibilities to replace my internal trigger, this 3-cone trigger, has three piezos for the head and one for the rim? do you think it could work for the positional sensing of mimic pro?

Do they ship to the us ? Also will it work with my atv brain ?

I really like the design of these and they offer A metal spoke design with an arm to every lug. The whole set of metal spoke design is less than $700inluding the 22” bass drum. Some similar spoke 22” would run $500 alone. I think the price to value is terrriic. I’m a fan
