I had the same problem except nothing would work
i cleared 15 gigs of space, cleared cache and data, reinstalled the game etc.
and NOTHING worked


But i did one thing which wasn’t mentioned and that was restart my device, after restarting it worked like a charm.

This solution did not work for me or my wife. On an iPhone, Genshin will require at least 32GB between the app (3GB) and data (28GB+). Not sure if it will need more data as you progress, but that’s the minimum needed to start. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH STORAGE. If you’re able to somehow get the app to load the demo version, click on the wrench on the right side. That will allow you to check for file integrity verification. It will say some files are missing and there will be a repair button that will start the download and it should complete. That was on my wife’s phone and I’m not sure how she got in to demo mode.

On my phone, I just “powered” through the error messages as I wasn’t able to get in to demo mode. Anytime I received the message, I would open the app switcher (swipe up from the bottom and pause or double click the home button), swipe away the app, and then open the app again. Eventually I was able to download the required files and play the game.
