How to Type Foreign Characters, Accents, and Diacritics (Windows)

In this short video, I explain how to type or insert accent marks, tildes, umlauts, and a few other international characters and diacritics by changing your Windows keyboard input language to English US-International.

What you forgot to mention: If you actually need the quotation marks or any symbols by themselves, you'll have to press the space bar immediately after. The space bar will get you out of any awkward situation, so to speak. Very informative video.

Hello, thank you for posting this video! I successfully was able to change the settings on my keyboard to US International, however, on my laptop computer, the only way to make a Capital A with the accent over it, was to type CTRL + Apostrophe + A....great help, thanks!!!

For anyone wondering about the inverted punctuation, press Ctrl+Alt+1 for ¡, and Ctrl+Alt+/ for ¿. Hope that helps!!

Okay for those who do not know how to make the little button (the one He uses easily switch from one keyboard set-up to another) I have found out how to do so. Search for Advanced Language Settings (Found in the keyboard settings part)
Then tick the box Use Desktop Language Bar. Easy!

proff jason kikuyu language spoken in kenya east africa has 7 vowels each with a tilde on top, ie a, e, i, (i), o,u,(u).But i cannot type 2 of the characters in () on windows or through keyboards the vowels (I) or i and U with a tidle. its posiible to put the umlauts and others on the two but not the i with a tilde and u with a tilde.help
