You cannot win the first fight in ufc 4 career mode

I tried armbar with a Jiu-Jitsu, once I completed it it did the same thing as training, where once it’s done they automatically get out of it.

We really should admire this part of the game, if you stop and think about it.
EA needs to be applauded for beginning their game with unquestionable honesty. Instead of allowing any opportunity for you to think this game is going to be different from other EA SPORTS games, they shut that shit down immediately, and outright show you that they program their games with the ability to control the outcome.
Good on you, EA. Finally being upfront with your customers.

EA got lazy and probably ended up finishing the dialogue for the characters and someone in there office said “what if the player actually ends up beating him ?” So they just made it impossible

I got knocked out by a jab when I did the first fight. Then I just dominated the next fight and it was on hard.

Now I remember. The whole match was a flashback from the coach. You already lost by the time story in career mode starts. It would have been better to make all of this a cutscene, really.

Coincidentally, I just started a new career this past week, so I had to run this fight.
I rocked him 3 times. The first time, he somehow dodged every follow up shot I threw. Second time, I hit him with a roundhouse while he was rocked, kocked him down against the cage, punched him 7 times while he stood up, then landed another clean roundhouse... just ate it. Then the third time, I rocked him with a huge combo, then as I blitzed him as he wobbled backwards, he landed ONE regular straight, and KNOCKED ME OUT COLD.
There was SIX SECONDS left!

I've never rolled my eyes so hard in my life.
