I am not sure where all the hate for Embiid comes from. Curry was miss almost every shot until this game and nobody talks about that. Yeah, Embiid has been hurt in the playoffs and hasn't had a deep playoff run or won a chip but I don't know where this notion comes from that he can't ball. This is his first Olympics. He is use to a certain style of play where he is the dominant big man with the ball. He needed to adjust but there was zero grace for him. I suggest some of y'all watch Sixers games because from what I was hearing, it sounded like none of y'all did. You just ran with a narrative. Before Embiid got hurt last year, they put up 40+ on the Lakers with Lebron and AD playing. They beat Jokic and Embiid put up 70 points on Wemby. He has been the leading scorer for the past 3 years. He was sitting out entire 4th quarters in games last year before he got hurt because they were up so much.

Loved Embiid scoring down the stretch. The only way Jokic could be effective when Embiid was in the game was when they screened Embiid off of Jokic. USA didn't cut into the double digit lead into Embiid got into the game in the 4th.
Tatum should be playing instead of Booker.

Kerr (9 rings) have assistant coaches Ty Lue (3 rings) and Eric Spoelstra (2 rings) all have NBA championship rings for coaching who also have input into decisionsmaking, including player matchup, rotation, and team over all strategies on specific game. If there was a decision not to play Tatum against Serbia, it would likely have been a collaborative decision made by the entire coaching staff. But none of the other coaches suggest to put Tatum on the court not only once but twice even if they are losing, WHY? because they see what you don’t see in the court especially during practice. Don’t worry Tatum will definitely get his silver or gold medal regardless if they win or lose and so far they are undefeated and don’t forget their main goal in Olympic is to win a medal for the country and not individual performance

Tatum has been mediocre in the Olympic exhibitions and games he’s played in, offensively and defensively. His accolades don’t justify playing time if there are better more consistent options. They’re playing to win the gold medal, not accommodate folks personal feelings.

I think US Olympic team is picked on politics.
Some of these players are not 2 way players - past prime. Durant comes to mind.
A team needs some players to do the dirty work - defense, rebounds, point of attack defense.
If you have players who don't defend - it lets the whole team down
