The Sixers front office lied to the fan base to make sure that they got their season tickets all taken care of and made Joel look horrible in the process...

The NBA viewership is also going down because you have to pay for 8 different services, just to not actually be able to watch your home team. It's getting ridiculous.

He could’ve made his point in that article without mentioning Joels family at all.

I hate Embiid, but getting into family matters is where I draw the line.

Ratings going down!? Wait for next year when new broadcasting rights kick in and the subscription fees raise by 20 or 30%!
In the end, someone has to pay for these $60M per year contracts!!!

with a watered down product with 0 physical play and glorified shooters that never were playing winning basketball (Lillard, Booker) what do you expect ? why would anyone care about the NBA any more

I wonder how much of the decline in view numbers is connected to how many hoops you have to go through to watch without cable with so many people cutting the cord.

The stars should walk the arena singing autographs if they take the game off. Bet the fans would be at least a bit happier with that.

I’ve been saying for awhile the league is in bad shape as most people look at box scores and social media, not sit down and watch the game. A few issues I see is cable is less popular and the NBA is clearly less accessible than football. I’m lucky and live in Phoenix so we get every game on local channels which I think every team needs to do. On top of the logistics though, half the players in the league are extremely unlikable humans. It’s hard to root for these guys and that’s why NBA media is a toxic pool of arguing and mindless debates

Fire Morey. Paying $100 million for Embiid and PG for sitting on the bench for most of the season.

I love it when people take the side of the NBA player who makes an ungodly amount of money to play basketball yet said player never plays when it matters, and also makes a statement he's never going to play back to backs anymore. The Man did not attack Joel Embiid's family. He did not say anything bad about Joel Embiid's brother or his son. He attacked Joel Embiid's character, and Joel Embiid uses his legacy as a shield to bolster his own career. He attacked Joel Embiid hypocritical comments in regards to how he conducts himself professionally. But all of y'all, including the idiot, who makes these videos can't see that because you idolize these players so much. People are starting to dislike Joel Embiid because real life is happening in the NBA is just another reflection of entitled rich people not doing their job and not caring enough to do their job but still getting paid hundreds of millions of dollars, while the rest of us work a 9 to 5 and still struggle to afford to live. 99% of people in this country, the world can't afford to not show up to work or say I'm not gonna work back to back days and still get paid. People don't identify with that. That's also a part of the reason why NBA ratings are declining. These players are not relatable. I feel no sympathy for Joel Embiid or his son and neither should any of y'all.
