Insurrectionary movement in Ukraine. How Anton Volzhan ended up in the photo next to Nestor Makhno.

Pages of the history of Ukraine are not entirely known to a wide circle. Who exactly are in the famous photograph of Makhno in Stshalkovo was determined with the help of the descendants of Anton Volzhan. The channel's materials were published in local newspapers, there will also be new ones, which are now being prepared.

In preparing the material, I was using the cases from the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Archives, the memoirs of Anna Antonovna Klyuchnik (Volzhan), Nikolai Kondratyevich Volzhan (Zaporozhye), Nina Kuzminichna Brus (Smiyukha) (Bashmachka village), Galina Kuzmenko (the book "Nestor and Galina" by Viktor Yalansky), Viktor Bilash (the book "The Roads of Nestor Makhno"), Nikifor Avramenko book ("Memories of a Zaporozhets"), Gavril Gordienko (the book "Under the Shield of Mars"). Documents are from the books "Nestor Makhno and the rebels" by Ivan Kushnirenko and Vladimir Zhilinsky, "Makhno and Makhnovists" by Lev Yarutsky, "For the gold of Nestor Makhno" by Alexander Skripnik.
