I remember Kojima saying something about Ground Zeroes save data rolling over to The Phantom Pain. I think the achievements that players accomplish in this app, things like extracted prisoners, staffing, and weapon development, might give them a head start for Mother Base in TPP. I'm also pretty sure the app utilizes cloud saves to connect directly to your progress in Ground Zeroes.

I think it gonna be just like the AC 4 app that you can play stand alone but the results will sync with the main game vice versa.

This would be a missed opportunity to show how fun the base management was in a MGS setting also the have would lose replay ability overall for the game. I think Kojima is smarter than that.

This... Well, seems more like a minigame really. And it does not look like the Motherbase from Peace Walker. I mean look at a screenshot of the fully expanded Mother Base from Peace Walker.... This is way to jamed and just a fraction of the base from PW. I expect the base in the actual game to be way bigger then this. You know the base we'll see being blown to hell.

Either an app or in game function it'll be fun. I'd rather see an app that syncs with GZs so I can manage mother base from anywhere but I'm just so excited I'll take anything right now.

I'm hoping I can actually manage and visit Mother Base in Ground Zeroes, I've always wondered what it looked like up close.

I don't know why a lot of you say it is pointless to upgrade MB when it gets destroyed anyway. It can still be available after you've beaten the game for gameplay purposes.

Maybe you can customize Mother Base in the app, while still allowing you to explore Mother Base in-game.

i think its a separate game because if you see on the bottom you can upgrade mb with tokens.

I think the app and the game should remain seperated. I mean it looks interesting if the 2 would work together but not everyone has smartphones, and also I want to play this game 20 years from now, and maybe we won't have smartphones 20 years from now. So I think it really should be seperated from the game itself and not rely on this app. Or atleast give the player the option to include it in the game or not.

I agree. It'll be some mobile game, maybe with some unlockables shared if synced.
