What a great video. Super talented cinematographer. The fact he has terrific equipment helps, but it is his talent that makes for a great video. Thank you.

Cant wait to get my hands on one. I've ordered it a month ago but in Bulgaria things are slow. This will be my first picture dedicated camera, I mostly shoot video. The great thing is that it beats my video camera with the specs lol

I’m trying to clarify a technical detail about the Sony A1 II. When recording video in 4K DCI format (full-frame mode) at 25p/24p, does the camera use pixel binning, line skipping, or full sensor readout (oversampling from 8.6K)? I’m looking to understand which capture method is used to assess the impact on image quality.

Great post. What filter did you have on the 28-70?

With the release of the A1-ii, we can now say the A7S lineup is done for. I mean there is no more reasons to have the A7S series when the FX3 is cinema lineup.

Otherwise, A1-ii is Sony's Perfect Rolling Shutter camera!

… amazing lens, but: The magnification ratio is far away from being a lens for macro shots. So in that case your conclusion in the video is not correct. Only in crop mode you will het a decent magnification. But it’s absolutely o.k. for this lens.
