01:20 🎥 The Sony a1 II captures exceptional 8K and 4K videos with high dynamic range, although 8K is not part of his regular workflow due to storage demands.
02:01 🏗️ David praises the build quality and design of the Sony a1 II, noting its intuitive controls and versatile multi-angle flip-out screen.

It is a great camera, but that price is just too high. $5k is probably the sweet spot.

These flagship models are sick, but you can deliver so* much value with the more budget options.

The screen articulation and AF are nutty. The α7V is going to be interesting.

Go Bulls! 🤘🏼

I'm very interested in this camera. Paying off my A7RV. A1 II is just so versatile. High MP, FPS is fast enough for my needs, shoot in silence mode...

Will need to save up for sure.

What do you guys think of the Sony a1 II? What feature would you like to see in the Sony a7 V most? 📸

Great video, and you told only the truth, I'm happy with my Sony a7RV and waiting for the news of the a7V.

Do you think the A1II or the R5II is more worth it? Do you have a review clip of the R5II? I’d love to watch it because your work is amazing!

I almost bought a A1 II too.

Only reason I couldn't because it is sold out everywhere. Even heard new pre-order backlog pushed back 3-4 months.

Don’t like the price but I like the idea of using just 1 camera. I like the idea of a ZV-E1 and a7cii….i have thought about selling my a7siii to get that combo, but just didn’t. lol 😂 Great thoughts and video

Bought the A1 two years ago - switching from Nikon to Sony when I realized Nikon was never gonna catch up in the video field when the Z6 “filmmakers kit” went no where…

The camera OVERHEATS within minutes in 8K in a normal temperature studio… and within 20 minutes at 4K

NOT A VIDEO CAMERA!

Bought two FX3s - with the little fans - they shoot for HOURS.

Aside from the flippy-screen (and who is gonna take a $6K camera out for selfies!?!)

The A1ii simply implements the firmware updates for the A1 without BRICKING the camera 🤬 for which Sony will charge you $750 just to look at it BRICKED by its own upgrade?!?

Probably done with camera bodies as I got what I need and Sony could careless about their Flagship customers.

Can’t wait to see the faces on every who blew their wallet out for this camera and then the a75 drops with almost similar specs at a lower price 😂

a7v will not have a stacked sensor and that is the biggest benefit that allows some of the other benefits. a7v will have horrible rolling shutter.

I bought one to take a picture of my penis, but I had to glue 3 pictures together so don't buy it!

I bought a Sony a7 iii for 725$ with just less than 9000 shutter count. Do you think it was a good deal? And which lenses would you suggest me get for a beginner and cheap.

The picture you showed us here is not a great advertisement for the camera or your work. In my opinion, neither the composition nor the quality is particularly good.

But let me get back to my thoughts about the camera. Since Sony used the same sensor as its predecessor and only added a few useful features, I don’t think it’s worth the price compared to the rest of the market. An A9 III may justify its price because there’s no other camera with similar specs available, but the A1 II falls short of many expectations we had for it.

Even the focus stacking is nowhere near as fast as the camera's shooting capabilities and feels as slow as on the A7R V, which is disappointing. The display is a bad joke, and it’s baffling that Sony, a company known for its excellent mobile phone displays, can’t set a benchmark here.

As a result, I’ve decided to cancel my order and wait for a camera that meets all my needs. For now, I’ll stick with my "slow" but higher-resolution A7R V.
