So as far as I understand, for everything inside the brackets in a function, you do the reverse of BODMAS? E.g for y=f(2x-4), you basically do the subtraction before the multiplication? And if you had y=2f(x)-4, you do the multiplication before the subtraction.

Edit: I don't mean literally subtracting before multiplying, but doing the transformation due to the subtraction before the transformation due to the multiplication.

is this part of the ocr mei spec? I haven't seen the order of the combined function matter before as I have never seen it mentioned so far in my work.

For the last example, do you not need to draw the graph up to the y-axis since the domain has been restricted for all values for x greater than 0, but your graph does not show what happens for x=1 or x=2?
