A desperate race to save lives in Kentucky is underway as the eastern part of the state is crippled by catastrophic floods, and there's more rain on the way.

Rising flood water sent people racing to rooftops and crews have rescued more than 100 people with boats and helicopters.

I had 5 inches of rain in 8 hours it washed away my water and sewer lines and took out my telephone poles too. Water is extremely powerful. God have mercy on these souls.

Currently in Allen city along the river. Crazy how high it's gotten. Large field accross the street is completely submerged. Probably about 20ft deeper than normal
