This show was fantastic, yet a bit of an enigma; a lot of aspects are childish (obviously it’s meant for children) yet in other ways such as this, it’s incredibly mature and I know for a fact that it imprinted lifelong lessons in my psyche that still effect me to this day. What a masterclass in storytelling this show was . I’m 27 now and I still miss it so much 😢😭

Came after watching Netflix's Avatar Epsisode 4.... really disappointed that they changed this scene. This was a really powerful and emotional scene where they started their romance.

It also shows that Aang despite being destined to save the world is really just a goofy kid trying to find his way.

In Netflix ATLA, Ep 7 and Ep 8, there were subtle hints>> Aang has prolonged eye contacts while smiling at Katara when they were in Agne Quela. And Katara herself said "We need you. I need you" when she was trying to calm down his avatar state. So, I guess they might be pushing KatAang but also planning on Zutara for some fans.
