Should your or any businesses actually use Demand Gen?

My very strong opinion is that for most businesses Demand Gen should not be a core focus campaign, but there are some cases where Demand Gen can be a strategic part of your total google ads campaign structure.

So in this video I want to take you through a big failure I have seen with Demand Gen and then provide the framework of how you can decide if Demand Gen is for you.

I have had luck with demand gen campaigns for a local home organizing business. My search campaigns had low search volume due to geography restrictions, and the cost per click was extremely high. I switched to demand gen to promote a home organizing checklist download, and saw my CPA cut in half. I get lots of impressions because it is no longer based on just search volume, and my cost per click is a fraction of the cost compared to search. I get an occasional spam lead, but other than that I haven't had any issues.

Aaron I’ve found demand Gen is the only way to switch off google partners which is terrible for my business. Is there any work around given I can’t access expert mode and am stuck with smart mode?

When you say it was good for building your database, was your main demand gen goal to gather email addresses or something like that?

Haven’t watched it yet.
IMO, I’m using it mostly for YT short ads, since targeting there is better
