I think that’s what I like the most about lil peep: he didn’t have a “pretty” voice like most singers do. And I don’t mean that I hate his voice or that he was a bad singer or anything. I mean, he didn’t sound like he was trying to grin and bear it when it came to his emotions, you know? He didn’t try to hide behind overdone perky vocal trills or fake-happy bullshit or anything like that, he straight up poured every single ounce of the aching pain he clearly felt into one gritty, raw, tormented voice that he paired so perfectly with brutally honest lyrics. He felt the misery, he felt it and he felt it HARD, and it’s such a damn shame that he’s gone and that it took me over two years after his death to get into him and truly appreciate the genius he was. Rest In Peace, Peep. 💕

He was a true artist and a blessing. I wouldn’t be where I am with my mental health if it wasn’t for peep. I miss him so much and I never got to go on any of his concerts... He was and still is a big inspiration to what I do now and I want to carry on his legacy and start making music the same way he did, pouring out my soul and emotions. When this pandemic is over, I’ll start recording songs, in memory of Gus. We miss you legend❤️
