After the Firmware update of my sony a6700, I never had any overheat warning, I love my a6700

i bought an A6700 used and a Tamron 17-70 F2.8 (Demo unit). It is my first camera, there is a lot to learn but it is really engaging and fun! the results look stellar

After so many days of release of 6700, suddenly all these YouTubers are promoting this camera now.

It must not be selling in numbers that Sony expected, so now they are using these influencers.

It’s a good camera though.

I've had this camera for 6 months now. I took it to trips to both Istanbul and Canada. I shoot photos only. Together with the Sony 16-55 mm f2.8 and the 70-200 mm f4 this camera produces stunning images in street, landscape, wildlife and macro photography. The images are pinsharp. With these lenses the autofocus performs flawlessly. Flying birds and flying insects like bees, butterflies and dragonflies are always in focus. I love this set up for it's amazing portability, great usability and outstanding performance and all that at a reasonable price.
Going forward I want to buy a dedicated and fast street prime lense, a decent supertelephoto lense and a fast 85mm for big and/or close wildlife at dusk and dawn.

I have the 6700 and A7c II, love both but this 6700 coupled with my Sony 11mm 1.8 is a dream come true for my needs.

Your last point about live streaming helped me decide. ZV-E10 mk2 will be my purchase. Thank you for your well thought out and high quality reviews!

I was this close on buying the a6700, but I buy the X-S20. The reason was because of personality and the built-in flash. I wanted something that has legacy and a big community like the recipes on fuji. Sony is not there yet I see them more for professional work where on the fuji is more creative on the go.

I super acknowledge that the autofocus is much better on the Sony and now that I own the Fuji I can see the contrast.

I live stream with my a6700. Just set it in 1080p, flip out the screen and done. I have livestreamed for an hour and a half using OBS cam connected through USB C, no issues.

I'm happy to have bought the A6700 to go with my ZV-E10, I just didn't expect it to take over quite so much, despite being bigger & heavier, it suits my hobby photography well, taking over with video too now! Enjoyed the video, thanks Joe.

Another great video Joe, thank you! After I fell in love with my a6700 last year, although it was love for the second purchase because my first one overheated very quickly, I sold 3 lenses this year and bought a second a6700. Normally one is fixed on my Sigma 60-600 DG DN OS and the second carries either one of the three great Viltrox lenses 27mm F1.2, 13mm F1.4 or 75mm F1.2. The Samyang 135mm F1.8 is also brilliant. If I want to travel with as little as possible, the Tamron 17-70 is on it. I first wanted to sell my ZV-E10 Mark I, but it almost always has the Nisi 9mm F2.8 on it. The best thing about two a6700 is that you can transfer the camera settings directly to the 2nd body and the muscle memory is simply faster than when changing different bodies.

Just picked up my a6700 upgraded from a6100. Waiting for the 70-350 to come in for some lunar photography but have other lenses for my regular shooting. Can't wait to see what comes out of this new beast!

I just finished watching your video and I like how you go into detail about the pros and cons of the camera. To be honest, I was a little disappointed when you said the a6700 isn't a good camera for streaming. I remember watching some other video and the person mentioned about using the ulanzi fan while streaming and it didn't over heat. If possible maybe in a future video you could test it out along with other cameras to see how they compare in quality when it comes to live streaming like the sony zv e10 1, sony zv e10 II. Thanks for the video and keep up the grind.

Your video helps me get one step closer to getting my first camera in 40 years!

To be fair, I'd like to see the XH2s sensor, which should've been implemented in a6700, in the a6800 body with dual CFA/SD card slots and better IBIS.

I bought this when it came out even though I typically shoot with full frame bodies (I only shoot stills) but along came the two full frame compact C bodies which I got. That said so far I’ve kept this camera because I like the array of the smaller APS-C lenses. My go to are the Sigma 10-18/2.8 and 18-50/2.8 DC DN lenses but also really like the Viltrox 27/1.2 Pro. The 70-350mm G is another lens that’s easy to recommend to an APS-C owner even if you own bigger and heavier telephoto zooms for full frame. Thank you and take care.

I aspire to have your production quality skills, but now that there's a rabbit involved I'm that much more invested. ( mine is photogenic as well )

I actually got mine to overheat recently, which was slightly unnerving. I was recording multiple takes of footage in 4k60. Not in a continuous stretch - but I had it plugged into usbc power and left it on between takes and sometimes reviewed footage on it, so I think that wasn't allowing it to cool between takes. That's on me, but certainly also means I have to have heating issues in mind using this camera, unlike my old zv-e10 where I can just do whatever I want :)

how about using full frame lenses on the a6700?

I have the sony a7iii with tamrons 17-28 and 28-200, 35mm GM, samyang 135. I wouldn't really buy any aps c lenses for the a6700 which I would buy exclusively as a B cam or travel cam. Do you recommend it or better stick with full frame? I would put the tamron 28-200 for the extra reach, mainly

Love the video man great job. I do have a question for you about timing of this video. Did Sony push out folks to start making videos on the 6700 b/c I’m seeing a few of them pop up right now from big❤ Sony Youtubers just curious.
