The guy in the green mustang has a reaction time that can be measured with a calendar

While the mustang has the reaction time of a snail, the other guy just guessed the light, which is honestly pretty impressive, if you slow down the clip you can see him let off the break prior to the green light just barely, the mustang has an even worse reaction time even without the guessing of the opponent.

I'm a JDM man by heart with tiny engines and stutututu turbochargers but good lord, you can't help but absolutely love the sound of a massive v8 and the crank of a supercharger. That whine brings music to my ears.

The reaction time of the old school drivers are unbelievable

So it seems the older cars reach top speed way faster but generally are slower at top speed than the newer cars. I imagine it's the weight of the metal that gives it a better initial grip, but slows it down after that first boost.
