It really depends on the fragrance as well. You can get away with 7 sprays of Prada L’homme but choke everyone out with 3 sprays of black orchid which is extremely potent. 5 is a good balance but knowing your fragrance and its abilities is best.

I had some people in the office complain about how strong Mancera Red Tobacco was, and i did 2 sprays. But 90%+ loved it. That perfume is such a monster, girls come into the office and from 5-6 meters away they smell it, even after one spray.

This GREATLY depends on the fragrance!!! I literally only wear ONE spray of Alien!!! Anything more is way too much & it lasts FOREVER if you spray it on a coat. I wear 6 to 8 sprays on lighter stuff. HUGE difference.

I did the 5 sprays of Aventus creed and it smelled nice but I think the other guests were struggling for oxygen.
