Hundreds Get Rare Glimpse Inside Capitol Records Tower

Hundreds of people got a very rare tour inside the studios at the Capitol Records Tower on Saturday and Sunday. Greg Mills reports.

I was a Service Manager for Canon/Astro Office Products back in the early mid 80's. Capital Records was one of our accounts and we had a couple of copiers on every floor, including the 13th, (Executive Floor). I was in that building a few times a month and it was pretty cool.

The architectual style of the building is called Googi. The restaurant at L.A. International Airport is the same style. The actual adress of Capitol is 1776 Vine Avenue @ Yucca street

If it wasn't for Nat King Cole this building would not have been built. That building is nick named the house that Nat built.

Capitol Records The Hollywood Bowl and the Theme building @ L.A. Int. airport are examples of Googi architecture. Googi architecture can also be found in Santa Monica.
