I've been 98% carnivore for 2 months. Many good results including reducing inflammation, weight loss, and skin problems. Watching Lillie is another benefit!

I find that on carnivore I spend less on groceries, because I'm not snacking on carbs that don't fill me up.

I usually show between 84 and 95 of blood sugar in the morning. But I noticed that if I eat about 3 eggs before bed time my blood sugar was at 84. So last night at 9 PM I fried up 3 over easy large eggs in butter. I went to bed a 10 PM and slept all the way through to 6 AM and didn't have to get up in the middle of the night to pee, which is unusual for me. My blood sugar showed 84 the next morning. I will be doing this every night now.

Another fun video Lillie. If I get burned out on any protein or animal food I switch to another, or include of bunch of them in any one meal. For example, I may have crab, shrimp, oysters, salmon, ground beef, ribeye, ham, wagyu, chicken, beef or chicken liver, and eggs in my fridge. I just cook 1, 2, 3, or more, or all, of them and eat till I stop. Perfect solution for burnout. Oh, and spices for ground beef is definitely OK. IMO. Have a great day! :)

That was a well put together video Lillie! The clips from the doctors at the perfect time for additional punch!👊🏼

I actually had a dietician at my doctor's office tell me to minimize protein because I "didn't need so much". So disappointing. Great video, Lillie! Thank you!

I did a sardine fast, just 4 cans a sardines a day for 4 days and it honestly was the best couple days I've had in a long time, like my normal life is just constant misery. Nothing I do seems to help my chronic pain so far except the sardine fast. Idk if it was the high protein or the omega 3s or both, either way, I'm definitely going to be eating a lot of sardines from now on

Like your channel, just discovered it yesterday. I've been doing Carnivore for 3 months and the results are amazing. Some of the nuances that you point out in this post could even help me take it a step further. Also, your man is a lucky man.

Yes! I always make sure to hit my protein goal every day for these reasons! 👍

I'm also 5"2 & weigh 125 lbs. I've been adding more protein in my diet these past months. So far I'm feeling good. I also strength train 3 days a week, then do cardio the other 2 days. I'm almost 40 years old, & have been in the best shape I've ever been in.🙂

Good for you for discovering the carnivore diet at such a young age. I'm 64 with a history of being morbidly overweight & extremely high blood pressure (178/110). I couldn't tolerate any of the BP meds my physician prescribed. Then my wife and I began the carnivore diet 4 weeks ago, along with vitamin D3 and K2 supplements and hibiscus tea, and my blood pressure has decrease to 137/87, and with no medication side effects! I have more energy and I'm looking forward to some significant weight loss.

I wish there would be some consensus on this issue. Some of the "experts" on YouTube say you should keep carbs low (at least there is consensus on this macro), then move to protein and around 25% of daily intake (give or take) seems to be the consensus. The BIG warning here is that excess protein will be converted to carbs through the process called gluconeogenesis. The body cannot store protein. Others say NO, the process is demand driven, so protein will only be converted to glucose if the body is short on glucose.

Then fill up with fat. So I aim for 5/25/70 for carbs/protein/fat, but don't quite achieve that every day.

I like Dr Naiman's formulation: for males 110 g up to 5 ft tall, then add 5 g for every one inch above 5 ft tall. It's a pretty good starting point.

I totally agree with the importance of the source of protein, is not the amount, but the quality and also I think the variety, I like to eat fish, eggs and meat. Many people forget about sea food and fish

What should I do ? I get nauseous if I eat more than 100 grams of protein per day, regardless of the source of the protein.

Haven't watched it all but just wanted to say, you and your hubby are awesome. Thanks :). I"m doingOMAD, 80/20 ~1.5lbs, I don't remove the fat, with about 4oz of cream cheeze or 5-6 eggs. Love it. I don't exercise but I walk about 4-6 miles at work (large facility). Still losing weight (5 ' 10" 200lbs, lost about 50 last year but have cheated lately).

Can't be understated, Any prediabetic symptoms disappeared after a few months, my mood and energy are far better and more consistent. Depression (which could get quite bad) gone....

Great summary, Lils! Bringing it together, you hit all the most important things on this one.

Maybe I missed something, but did she talk about how protein has changed the appearance of her body? Did she actually lose weight, gained weight or gained muscle mass. I feel like she looks the same.
