Survival rate of Sudden Cardiac Arrest outside of a hospital is 10%. Incredible performance by the medical staff to save his life.

Notice how the stadium goes dead silent. Just scary

The people with the most important job that night were the least paid people on that field.

A huge thank you to the entire medical staff responsible for saving Hamlin. They’re the real heroes on that field that night.

Props to #30 for instantly reacting when he fell. He was the first to see, and first to run over to check on him.

The Bills players were crying because Damar was DEAD, and they knew it, they were mourning him there hoping the medical staff could pull off a miracle, and by the grace of God he survived

(edit: It seems quite a lot of people don’t understand how God works, please humble yourselves, brothers and sisters)

I remember watching this live…still brings me chills watching it. Just seeing his body collapse and then look absolutely lifeless…😞

Damar suffered from Commotio Cordis. Where you get hit at a certain rhythm in the heart and the heart actually stops. What a freak accident and luckily he survived

The fact the Bengals lineman knew and just went straight to show respect be could tell something was off because he got up but fell again

*I remember when this happened. It was all over social media, the news, people outside of football were sending him love. Thank you God that Damar is fine and was able to even speak after this tragic accident.*

1:54 I will never forget the moment they showed Josh Allen with his hands over his mouth; my heart just fell, because I knew then that Damar's life hung in the balance.

10/3/2023(100 comments at this times) - I work in hospital setting (27yrs) I've done CPR. 2:23 seconds "He's been down for NINE minutes (Never a good thing) I was talking to 2 other medical family members on the phone at this point. The NFL did a good thing here by CX the game. Damar's CPR event & recovery should never be hidden by social media. TY for having this video The NFL films doesn't have it available - yet) This is such a good video for CPR & AED awareness. So sad to watch here absolutely, but very needed. The existence of Rapid Response Teams / Quick Response Teams (QRS) are needed very much so. The NFL needs to cover these teams better & way more in depth. Not just handing out awards for what they did on this day, but for what they need to do to proper for such events. TY again & Thank God he pulled through.

I watched this live, and my dad who is a doctor guessed exactly right as to what it was and we all just said a prayer for him in our living room.

I saw Damar that summer while I was hooping with some Bills players with my friends. He walked in the gym and said what’s up to all of us before we even noticed he came in. He gave all of us knucks too. When this happened I couldn’t stop thinking about that genuine act. Thank God he survived and is okay. He is a great guy

this was the day after my daughter was born. we just got home and settled in and it was her first nfl game to watch with me, i know that sounds silly but my father and i were diehard bengals fans that watched every game we could together, just wanted to create a memory like that. ill never forget the shock of the whole experience, checking twitter every half hour for updates, the wholesomeness of fans from all over coming together in a time of uncertainty. just, wow.

Like lots of us, my son and I were watching this as it happened. It was scary enough, but then when the sideline reporter said the EMTs were doing CPR ... that's not something you're used to hearing ... still scares the holy hell out of me

Thank God he recovered. I’m tearing up now and it’s a year later.
