Couldn't agree more, especially about mig being easiest to learn. 25-30 years ago I bought a stick welder and a book on welding. I did more welding the stick to the parts than I did actually welding the parts together. Then I used a mig at a friend's shop and I was putting down a bead in about ten minutes.

Good on you. Yes, those 3 tools will get someone very far. Flux core is often underrated and over looked.

Great video and a nice personal boost for me.
I have a very small Flux core welder and another larger, but still easily portable welder that I can use with Flux core or gas. Most of the work I've done is handled well with the smaller one, cutting costs of consumables.
I have 4 grinders, 2 of which are Cordless and I use them as you described. Very convenient.
I bought a small plasma cutter that will handle quarter inch material easily and the consumables are very affordable.
Going to be looking into the cold cut blades to add to my friction collection, great tip.
I'm a huge fan of the bar clamps and have the others you mentioned, as well as a number of C clamps.
I'm currently remodeling an old house that I was fortunate enough to get into, that has a decent sized garage that will be my shop and I am very excited about setting it up to work from home.
I have a number of other pieces of equipment that I am looking forward to getting lined out to start fabricating custom projects.
Trying to get the living quarters squared away so I can build my shop into something that I can really enjoy working in to make my living.
I have a few missing pieces that I will be searching for, to make things easier, but I have a good feeling about starting with what I have.
The only thing I would add to your video is a Compressor that can easily handle the load for the plasma cutter.
I went cheap at first and burned through 2, just finding the limits of my plasma cutter, before I bought a couple of used Compressors that needed work. I'm currently running an 18 gallon Compressor that is at slightly less than peak performance, into a 5 gallon portable tank and into my plasma cutter, but it still runs a bit more than I would like.
I have a lot to do, but your video shows me that I'm not as far behind as I thought I was, in reaching my goal for a functional level from home.
Much appreciated.

Respectfully...

Thanks for the video, I'm new to welding and found this very useful. Would you consider doing a few more follow on videos like a beginner series showing do's and don'ts? Liked and subbed 👍

Do you have a link to those clamps that fit on a pipe that you showed? Out of all the videos I have reviewed it is the first time that I have seen those.
