I suspect what's Wilson's strategy: They'll cover the holes in "Gen 2" in order to avoid the dirt accumulation inside and some problems related to air flows through the ball when it's shot.

I love playing basketball however in 5th grade we figured out I’m allergic to this rubber mix that is found in slides, flip flops, and basketballs! My hands start to crack and bleed. This would be game changer for me and I could actually play.
