thank you once again for sharing your knowledge and being open with your own journey. I just received positive SIBO result and not surprised. This time with knowledge from your videos I have a much better understanding and will be able to have a better fighting chance to change my life with repairing my gut. I’m someone with life long gut issues, DX with celiac, finally, at around age 50 and Hx of chemo so drs never really seem to want to tackle the more complicated cases let alone gut issues in general. Hoping SIBO cure will eventually take away multiple on going symptoms. I’ve also been on LDN for several years and I’m hoping curing the gut will allow me to someday stop taking LDN. LDN was a life saver for me with my painful inflammatory joint issues. so Thankful for my ND for prescribing this.

Hi Amanda, following you from Brazil rs

Here, doctors don't even know what SIBO is or don't want to study about it.

I downloaded your E-book and I'm marathoning all your videos with great hope, thank you 🙏

Thank you so much for your helpful information. It was very clear and concise to follow and greatly appreciated. I have not had the test yet although I suspect I have SIBO and plan to test soon. I have been experimenting with identifying my trigger foods and so far, without a doubt I have an intense reaction to gluten, cauliflower, asparagus and almost all legumes. Some beans are easier to handle than others, but I find I avoid them most of the time, as the problems they cause are not worth it!

Thanks for so much info, I have sibs (hydrogen) I done one round of Rifaximin and seemed to work well and I didn't think anymore of it and i developed a massive appetite thinking I could eat anything, now 5 months later its back. I have my antibiotics and am looking for ideas on supplements to take alongside antibiotics maybe berberine oregano aliccin ? or should I wait and do these after the two weeks of antibiotics, or just use a pro kinetic after the two weeks. I have cut out carbs dairy and veg, I am only eating steak and eggs, tea nd coffee. I still get bloated and burping and the usual other things, I noticed on another post you mentioned you are off beef and eggs, I believed these to be low fodmap and also the reason why I reduced intake to only these for elimination purposes after antibiotics.
Thanks in advance W

I've had really bad SIBO for years & can't seem to get on top of it. I seem to bloat up & react to everything I eat & have to do coffee enemas to make my bowels work. I've been told to stay off dairy but the Elemental Heal is made from whey powder which is dairy. So how can it be healing if SIBO is made worse by dairy? (Confused & hoping for a reply. Thanks).

Good video .

But I have heard this again and again to find the cause .

I have no idea what foods cause this. There is no real indication to what foods contribute to these gut challenges I have and was tested positive for SIBO methane 2 years ago. Obvious foods yes: sugars and processed food affect me terribly.
Other than that there isn’t any other food that is consistent with my challenges.

This has been hard.

One thing I’ve come across that does help consistently besides staying away from sugar and processed food is water fasting.

I’ve recently added Kefir and I prefer all dairy to be non pasteurized and I am not lactose intolerant but for over a year I gave up all dairy but saw no benefit in going without dairy.
However now I’m still on the fence regarding dairy. I love milk and never had a problem with it but so much conflicting information regarding gut health including SIBO and these ongoing symptoms for 2 years I’m overwhelmed.

I’m 62. Just thought I’d throw that in there. 🙃

In the UK I can't find test kits for hydrogen or methane or histamine. Doctors don't understand the suffering we go through - the comments drs have made to me over the years (not all doctors but most) have been insulting, arrogant, ignorant. I, like no doubt many others, are dealing with the trauma of not being believed, being thought of as a mental health case, making it up for attention. I've had to be my own physician. Eventually I did a medical ancestry DNA test and the results showed my genetics are in the category of tendency towards Crohn's Disease, IBD and most intestinal issues. I'll continue learning how to treat myself and thank you Amanda for your video. Do you know of any UK outlets for the test kits please?

So did you get cured from the antibiotics or did you do the herbals and which herbals?

Hi, I seem to have started with histamine intolerance, everything I eat seems to cause it….my doctor just has me taking antihistamines. I think I have methane Sibo, I took Biocidin for a few days and had to stop because of my terrible itching. It’s been happening for four weeks. I’m scared of going on Biocidin or Allimed as I don’t want to make myself worse. It’s terrible. I also have esophagus issues.

do GI physicians ever do SIBO testing or do they just write the Rx for antibiotics without checking?

Years ago when I was Dx with Celiac, the GI doc did have me take antibiotics but to be honest I was clueless why at the time having no any understanding of SIBO. I just did what I was told, as at the time I was in extreme discomfort and at my wits end having finally been dx with the celiac. There was never any follow up after taking the antibiotics.

So frustrating it take so long in the U.S. for drs to pay attention to diagnosing celiac. It was actually my naturopath/dietitian I was seeing that recommended I get tested for celiac. I was actually seeing her for support for dietary needs after being diagnosed with osteoporosis. I imagine it’s the same with SIBO. MD’s just don’t give a hoot as I found with Celiac. My PCP’s over the years knew I had gut issues but Celiac was never mentioned and it was a word I had never heard of before my naturopath mentioned.
So thank you for putting this info out there so we can get educated and figure out a path.

Unfortunate it’s highly discussed that there is a high chance for a sibo test tie be false positive :-/
