This highlights a point I'm curious about. North Korea has managed to do high level hacks despite not having a deep talent pool to draw from. They only have 1, 000 IP addresses. Other countries can recruit young people who have been tinkering on computers and learning to hack since they were kids. It's like how Canada has kids who grew up playing hockey on frozen ponds thus they have great hockey players. North Korea shouldn't even be a piece on the chessboard as far as hacking. But they are.

I really love this advanced and developed country and nothing else matters. I always sit here and listen to talk from the window and know all the espionage and intrigues, but in studying well and it also happens, you are not alone, especially there is more understanding and more focus and when you stop learning you start to die

Make the car OS "read only" and you're good to go. Info may go out and intercepted but can't get in to add something to the system to crush your car or cancel the airbags.

Just have two systems...one for car management system, and one for internet, and keep the two as separate systems! Quite easy for a car manufacturer to do?

Eretz Israel is struggling to generate better GDP. In this respect, security products are a tempting avenue even at first glance in the face of the entrenched security situation in Israel. At the same time, however, this development also represents a consolidation of the status quo of a situation that in no way points to a better or even permanently acceptable future. It is only upgraded electronically, in order to then in turn counter the resulting dangers with even more upgrades.
You could actually ask the question quite differently: Who needs vehicles and household appliances that are stuffed to the brim with programmed electronics, apart from the manufacturers of these electronics? The simplest answer is that where electronics are necessary, this can usually be done with analogue control systems, which are not vulnerable to remote hacking in the first place and therefore do not involve any security risk. --- That would not be a good thing for providers of security technology like many companies in Eretz Israel, because many of their products would be superfluous in the blink of eye. But the development of cyber security also shows that the development in electronics domain is perhaps pointing in the completely wrong direction. If the products were designed differently, there would not be any security problems at all, because they only come with the epedemic spread of microcontrollers, which have infected almost all everyday tools and devices like a pathological virus.
As an aside, when came onto the market, it was with the idea that development would be more flexible, cheaper and development cycles shorter, i.e. development costs would decrease, and that would correspondingly justify the slightly higher production costs. But we have long since reached a point where the development costs are neither lower nor are the development cycles shorter, not to mention the now exorbitant prices for programmable microelectronics. In the meantime, the product that solves control using analog processes (by discrete components and transistors, op-amps, comparators, etc.) is often cheaper, much less error-prone and, moreover, even more often the cheaper solution when it comes to production. Although there is also a class of complexity in terms of technical problems that are very data-/compute-intensive and can only be solved efficiently with programmable electronics, these do not necessarily have to communicate with the outside world (at least not beyond a simple symbolic representation) and thus become vulnerable to remote hacks by doing so.
The Internet of Things is not a modern blessing, as is often claimed by electronics manufacturers, but turns out to be rather a very expensive curse.

Can electronic devices work when electric current exists in the motherboard or brownouts in the mother boards.
