Firs time ever to hear of this phrase/skill..I'm 29, dislexic as a spare wheel.
But I always had excellent "pitch", Like for instance, I could whistle a classical music piece that I've heard when I was maybe 11-12 yers old, in front of an opera singer (who happened to be with my friends) and he sat down with me for like half an hour only giving me these tests of his, naming songs i dont know, then he just starts singing the first second or two, and I can continue whistling the whole piece in excellent pitch, while not even remembering where or how long ago did I hear that.

To make it short, nobody ever said this phrase of "Phonemic Awareness" so i could research it to have peace and find out what exactly is this skill.. The best I could describe it to people was, You know when your heart beats and shows the puls at the monitor? Or you see an equalizer moving precisely (then i show hand gestures) and try to explain how I can easily remember and repeat the exact way you said asomething and every letter in it, because apparently, I have a good ear, AND i remember the "up down - in out puls scales, and how they look" as i'm looking at them in my head going the exact same speed etc, the sound part is reproduced with the help of my ears, in funny detail..

Also, as I stumbled upon this video, The Lady on the right started speaking in the beginning phases and showing off some "tools" and after the second word she said, my eyes went glued on her body language and hand gestures going in rhythm with the the "phonims" (have to check again how it's spelled), and I was wondering "maybe it's a kind of professional deformation she has from work or something, unaware of doing it". And I'm just paying attention on how correct was she in it, and at the end she said that she actually does that. And I broke laughing, didn't realize she knew she was doing it.
this made my day, awesome video. Thank you Ladies! :))
