Becky, You have to give credit to Confucius teachings which encourage women to be submissive to their husbands. As a Korean woman born in Korea, I know that is why Koreans think it's okay to put women in the corner. Sexism is built into the Confucius teachings, which is woven into the fabric of Korean traditions. Modern Korean culture is finally moving away from it now, though. However, if you're dealing with the baby boomers of Korea, you'll still see it.

What Hollywood has conspired is altogether for a different reason.

Time has changed. You can't use references that depict old times... I'm Korean aged 55 who lived most of my life in Korea. I know my time.
