I randomly had the thought that the entity screeching for 10 seconds exactly means you’re safe, but maybe like, a 12 second screech means you’re not safe. So while counting down the seconds you’ll be hoping you’re safe, only to realize you’re counting past 10, and by then you only have a second or so to run. That’d be terrifying.

What always looks off in these EAS scenarios, is that someone spent their time creating vivid illustrations to the situation instead of pushing textual warning as soon as possible. There's not time for that in an emergency
