We did a fairly large brisket in the sous vide. It 'cooked' in the water bath for 36 hours and then needed 3 more hours on the BBQ (or oven) but it was one of the best meals we have done this way. Tried bacon as well, pretty good overall. I would strong recommend this product to anybody who asks.

The steak is supposed to be inserted after the water has reached its desired temperature.

Can I clamp this to my bathtub and turn it into a hot tub? If I want bubbles, I can just eat beans ahead of time.

I’d add hot tap water to it so it doesn’t take as long to heat up

Also.. Wouldn't you want to get the water up to temp BEFORE putting the steak in??

Dont put the steak in before the water has reached the correct temp. Wrong instructions here

The steak on the grill at 6:57 looked very gray. Is that because you didn’t pat the steak dry before putting it on the grill? I’m still doing my homework before jumping in to buy one. Thanks—great video!

Quick question. Does it turn off during the cooking process, when it's at the right temperature, or does it just keep going until my steak is done?
